PASTOR RANDY DUNCAN

Pastor Randy Duncan is the founding pastor of Living Word Church.

 

He grew up in Southwest Detroit and became a fully devoted follower of Jesus during his senior year of high school after his friend was murdered. Ever since then, his heart has burned with missionary zeal.

 

He is a 1988 graduate of Concordia, Ann Arbor (where he met his wife) and received his Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne in 1993.

 

Pastor Randy has been a missionary church planter among the Gypsy population of North America, and has planted churches in Cote d’ Ivoire (Ivory Coast), West Africa, among the Krahn tribe displaced from Liberia because of the civil war. In 1993, Randy began a mission society named People of the Book, which is dedicated to communicating the Gospel and planting Christ-worshipping communities among Muslims in North America. POBLO now has outreach centers in Metro Detroit, the United States and India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 

He and his wife, Jennie, live in Westland, Michigan, and have three children--Joshua (17), Christopher (15) and Heather (11).

 

Other Stuff: Pastor Randy is a huge fan of the Beatles, the Red Wings, and the Three Stooges. He plays guitar (and is a hack at many other instruments) and enjoys playing XBox 360 witht the kids, golfing with friends, and being with his wife. He is also an espresso addict. His mission is to know Jesus more fully in order to make Him more fully known!
